Teen Volunteers

Special Event Volunteers | VolunTeens

Our teen volunteers are smart, creative, and kind and have opportunities to help their neighbors and people across the continent throughout the year. This includes assisting at annual youth events, such as our BOOtacular, and participating in community service programs, such as the annual Cards For Hospitalized Kids craft event.

Local Interests + Unique Events

Bringing the Farm to the Library

Library patrons were able to witness the wonders of life through our Hatch-A-Chick program in the summer of 2023. We successfully hatched and housed five baby chicks, giving all ages a chance to engage with the Library in a new and unique way while learning about life cycles and animal needs and behaviors. Special events planned around the hatching were a chicken escape room, small-group instruction regarding chicken care, and a naming  contest.
